For the Camels

You are going to die when you hear this, but we took a trip to AFRICA this weekend! I know, GET OUT, who would have thought we would be vacationing in Morocco? But we read the trip itinerary and saw "CAMELS" and we knew that we absolutely had to ride one of those precious animals!

beautiful Moroccan coast

cute staircase in Chefchaouen!
so we arrived in tangiers on a rainy day and met our tour guide, Rashid, translated: Slave to the Ladies. IYYY!!! he asked us where we were from, we gave the usual response - California! - and he yells "CALIFORNIA?!! gag me with a spoon!" He just had the funniest lines and at the hotel he made gabrielle try on his moroccan dress, duhh she looked damn good in it! We explored Tangiers later that day and figured this entire trip was going to be such a culture shock for us, but in a good way!

Next day, we woke up and thought today is the day - CAMELS! but we get to breakfast and hear the news that today is not camel day, so back to the room to change our outfits because of course there is a specific outfit for riding camels. Instead we took a trip to a nearby town called Chefchaouen. It is such a cute little town and famous for its pretty blue walls and narrow streets!
Obvious

a house in California, Tangiers
then, monday came..THE BEST DAY EVER!!! We woke up to clear skies, the only  day it did not rain in Morocco, and perfect weather! we put on our camel riding outfits and once again, our fabbbb tour guide Rashid - "in america you have john travolta, in morocco we have rashid" - took us to where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Mediteranean Sea, such a gorgeouss site! Then we passed through what they call the California of Morocco with big mansions and palm trees -- ahh how much we miss those palm trees in san diego! this day we didn't feel like we were in Morocco, it was practically a paradise here!

We anxiously waited the bus ride and then FINALLY, we made it to THE CAMELS!!!!!! The camel ride made the whole trip! The man who was in charge of the camels, fell in love with gina - naturally as old men always do - and even said good bye to her when we left! we almost cried when we had to say buh  byee to the camels, they were just....de punta madre! OH! and our badass roommate, victoria, made friends with this sickkk moroccan man. he absolutely LOVEDD her and was trying to sell us hats and jewels. and then he sang to us, "MONEY MONEYY MONEYY HONEYYYY!!!" we wanted to take him home!  This day was hands down the best day because we got to see the pretty places Morocco has that made us feel not totally sketched out and we never ever wanted to leave the beach! It was even hot enough to lay out in, but we had to go see some caves after and took some lovely gayy photos -- as usual!  after a moroccan dinner filled with belly dancers and some haterrssss we went back to the hotel for some prime pillow talk, shared some good laughs and went to bed...but gina still wouldn't cuddle with me!!!

Morocco was definitely something different then what we are used to. we are happy we are back in Madrid though, ALIVEEE!!! and have now officially ridden came on the beach, such an awesommeee experience!!!!

Don't worry, I got the entrance fee baby: Aquarium and Fairytale Day!

Another day of waking up bright and early! Gosh, we were just sooo productive in Portugal -- headed to Starbucks and met the funniest man. We don´t know his name, but okay when the people in Starbucks speak to you they speak in English and they are actually pretty darn good at it, but this guy was absolutely HILARIOUS!! He goes to ask Gina Marie for her ¨autograph, not signature pleasee¨ Gina signs the bill and goes ¨this is going to be worth money someday¨ - DUH - and then he does the most embarrassing thing ever, which we mean AWESOME THING EVER, he literally jumps up and down, waves the receipt around and yells yayyyyyyy!!! gosh, he just made our morning.

okay so then after that top 10 fabb event in our lives, we head straight to the OCEANRIO DE LISBOA! aka THE AQUARIUM!!! Gabby couldn´t wait to see all the animals and Gina could care less about it, but whatevvsss it was so entertaining. we found sharks and fish and frogs and turtles, saww a cuuteeee sea otter and lots of penguins! the penguins are just like the people of europe -- they LOVEE PDA! watchh ouutttt. then we took a gandalua ride across the water and saw the skyscrapers of Lisbon and one side and the amazing water on the other. muy muy muyyyy bonita!!!

after a 3 hour lunch and some standoffish waitresses, we headed to Castelo de Sao Jorge! A CASTLE!!! so some whinersss were like ¨im just going to sit outside the castle and not pay entrance fee¨ okkkayy losers, but when we
found out entrance fee was like 2 euro for students we went in & damnnn if some boy flies us out to portugal to watch the sunset over the walls of the castle or propose or maybe just get married theree, all we have to say is: "DON´T WORRY WE GOT THE ENTRANCE FEE BABBBYY" gosh this place was absoltuely GORGEOUS and such a fairytale!! we had an hour long photoshoot here too of course and then made our way to our favvv italian restaurant for dinner and passed out because we had to wake up bright and early - 4:30 AM - to sayy addiosss to the partiers in the streets and the beautiful city of Lisbon. back to our home sweet home in madrid and to the wonderful kisses of concha and santiago

Friday: "i saw ass, then ran!"

Lisbon Trolley - PICTURE PERFECT!
We woke up bright and early at 8am the next morning, which was VERY impressive, got ourselves together and headed out onto the streets of Portugal to embrace the city, of course only after a much needed stop at STARBUCKS. We took the cute little trolley to the Tower of Belem, walked around there and ended up having a hour long photoshoot, had their famous pastries which were delicious, had some more photoshoots and then started to head back.  We got back to the hostel for a little siesta and showers and then met our next favv boyy TAYLOR aka taytay - heyyyy! We invited him out with us and headed towards the famous Elevator:  Elavedor de Santa Justa .  We rode it to the top where there was a terrace that overlooked the entire city!  It was beautiful!  We watched the sunset, annoyed people with taking our photos and were just soo soo soo happy we could enjoy this all together. After the ususal photoshoots we headed back down for some dinner!  We ended up at this superrr goood italian restaurant where the waiter was just wayyy too nice!  He gave us some recommendations on a few bars and nightclubs to go to.

view from the top of the elevator!
After din din we pregamed with our aiport wine that we still had and played a round of "fuck the pyramid" and "21" in our hostel before heading out for the night!  The next door neighbors told us "don't drink too much, we are sleeping next to you!" POOR LADIES! justkidding, we weren't that loud this night. We started out doing a little bar hopping like the first night, ended up at the mohito bar once again and then went for a run around the streets! Gina ran over one of those air vents in the middle of the road and heyyy portugal saw her bootaaayyy oops sorrreyyyy Portugal!!  I think we were trying to go to a club on the beach or something i dont remember, but it was just soooo unsuccessful, so we tried to catch a cab but ended up walking back up the hill and dancing to old school B-SPEARS songs...Oooppss I did it againnn.. I´m not that innocenttttt...kayyyy Even though the night didn't end up as planned, we still had some good laughs and obvsss good memories!!!

loveee these laddiess <3

Thursday Night: PARTY IN THE STREETS

HOTTIESS OUUTT
Hey Hottiess!!! Just got back from Lisboa, Portugal today!!!  We had the most fabulous time!  Portugal is absolutely beautiful!!!!  After checkinnn out of class early and rushing to the airport for our flight, buying Emily a new 50 Euro ticket because she accidently bought the wrong time, and frantically printing last minute boarding passes we arrived at our terminal to find that our plane was delayed about 2 hours okayyyyy sooo what do we do, obviously bought a few bottles of wine, some chocolate and were down for a few rounds of "fuck the pyramid" while we waited; however, no one would open our bottle sooo there went that plan.  A few hours later we finally arrived in Lisboa, Portugal!!!! woohooo!!! we hopped on el autobus to head to our hostel.  Of course we made a new friend on the bus, Andrew!  (He also has a blog if you would like to check that out: http://www.barelyballin.blogspot.com/   )

takkee a pictureee
Of course the bus doesn't take us straight to the hostel, so we had to figure the way ourselves roaming the streets of lisbonn, oh heyyy! we walk into this building and start to go up the escalators minding our own business when ohh damnnn the PAPARRAZZIII starts taking hella photos of us - who would blame them though, whyy they so obssessed - WE DON'T KNOW! but after a run in with a few hottieee police officers we finally arrived at our hostel just in time to put down our bags, put our partayyy clothes on and hit the calles de Portugal, in the Barrio Alto of Lisbon to be exact!  The Portugese love to party in the middle of their streets there..es normal.

So we did a little bar hopping, took a free shot of what was practically gatorade, wandered to the tequila bar for a tequila shot, and eventually ended up outside this one bar with a few very large/strong mojitos in hand.  The street was defintely poppinn!

lined up & poured just the way we like them

We chatted it up with some boys from Germany and England -- who ended up buying us roses, Janelle had some fun then yacked it up on the streets of Portugal..standard.. and Emily did some wandering of her own to culturize herself amongs the Portugese boys.  It was the BEST night ever, wrote SNAPS FOR HOTTIES on the wall of the hostel and called it a night! woo!

Fake Strike in Spain so WE PLAY!!

Wednesday, September 29 Spain went on strike and we were forced to go to class, but with a lenient teacher and a 40 minute metro ride with a transition in the "most dangerous part of Madrid that day" we decided on NOO WAY JOSE CUERVO were we going to class!! so tuesday night @ 11pm, we said heyyy santiago where can we get some wine and chocolate? He pointed us in the direction and then the party started in Concha's kitchen, we even got an inspirational talk before we played the fabb game of fuck the pyramid. Concha told us, in spanish of course, but I will translate for you - "Chicas, have experience in love, but know what you want and know what you don't want in life." - such a cute little mammaaa she is! Her and Santiago have been together since they were 16, QUE PRECIOSA!!! so after our four boxes of wine, fuck the pyramid, and janelle getting totallyyyy fucked in fuck the dealer, we had our typical computer party followed by gossip girl & a good night's rest.
favorite place in the house

Woke up in the morning at 12 on Wednesday, found out only 4 people went to class and they talked about food - soo heyy don't feel bad Professor Saul SORRAYYY! and then we decided to go to El Parque del Retiro meet up some chicoossss. BUT FIRST - stop at the mercado to get some more wine, brie, salomi, nectarines, and bread -- oh and chocolate -- for a great lunch in the park! how cute are we, seriously, you don't need to tell us!

lunch in el parque!
okay so after victoria had to chug for 52 seconds because she got fuckkeddd, she had to go to class to turn in some homework and then everyone went their separate ways. Janelle, G&G came back to
Concha's to finish the fabb day of the fake strike in spain and take some time to ourselves for some relaxation!

THANKS AGAIN HUELGA GENERAL FOR THE FREE DAY!

OH! one more thing -- the points board became official this day:
